About this app
(Speed Tunai) App Loan SIM is an independent, unofficial Android app: a loan simulation, calculator and plain-language guide to the cost of a cash loan. It works entirely on figures you type in yourself.
What the app does
The developer describes it in one line, and the app is that line: a simulation, a calculator, and a guide. You supply the amount, the rate and the tenure; the app does the arithmetic and explains the vocabulary a loan agreement uses. Nothing is submitted anywhere.
Verify the lender before you borrow
This matters more for a fast cash loan than for almost any other product, because speed is exactly what unlicensed operators advertise. A licensed moneylender in Malaysia can be checked, and the check takes a couple of minutes.
- A genuine moneylender licence number begins with WL, and an advertising permit begins with WP. Both carry validity dates.
- Check the number against the register through the i-KrediKom application or the portal at kpkt.gov.my, not against the advertisement.
- The registered company name must match the name on your loan agreement.
- A licensed lender does not ask for any payment before approval. A request for a processing fee up front is the clearest warning sign there is.
- Since 1 April 2024, loan money must be disbursed by electronic transfer, so an offer of cash in hand does not match how a licensed operation works.
The ceiling that applies
Under the Moneylenders Act 1951, a licensed moneylender may not charge more than 12 per cent a year on a secured loan or 18 per cent a year on an unsecured one, which is 1 per cent and 1.5 per cent a month. Interest collected may also not exceed the principal sum lent. The text of the Act is published at lom.agc.gov.my.
Consumer credit in Malaysia is also moving under the Consumer Credit Act 2025, in force since 1 March 2026, with the Consumer Credit Commission at skp.gov.my as the new authority.
What it does not do
This app is an independent educational app. It is not an official representative of the brand it is named after, and not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to it, nor to any government body or regulator. It does not offer loans and cannot be used to apply for one. It does not process applications, does not disburse funds, does not check application status and does not access any account. There is no account, no login and no personal data.
Never type an identity number, a bank account number, a password or a one-time PIN into any third-party app or website. All figures the app produces are estimates for planning only, and the binding terms are the ones in the lender own offer document.
