This policy explains what happens to information when you visit this website. Each Android application we publish has its own privacy policy, which is linked from its Google Play listing and from its page on this site. Where an app policy and this page differ, the app policy governs that app.

Information collected on this website

  • Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard technical data for each request: IP address, date and time, the page requested, the referring page, and the browser user agent. These logs are used for security and troubleshooting and are retained for a limited period by the provider.
  • Analytics. If website analytics are enabled, aggregated statistics such as page views and approximate country are collected. We do not use this data to identify individual visitors.
  • Local storage. The site stores your light or dark theme preference in your browser. It stays on your device and is not transmitted to us.
  • Email. If you write to us, we keep the message and your address for as long as needed to handle the enquiry.

What we do not do

We do not sell personal data. We do not build advertising profiles. We do not require an account to read anything on this site, and there is no registration, comment system, or newsletter that collects addresses in the background.

Applications

Our calculators and reference apps are designed to work without an account and to keep the data you enter on your own device. Where an app does collect or transmit anything, the specific detail is disclosed in that app's own privacy policy and in the data safety section of its Google Play listing. Read those before installing.

Third-party services

Links on this site point to Google Play and other external destinations. Once you follow such a link, the privacy policy of the destination applies. We have no control over how third parties handle your data.

Children

This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your choices

You can browse this site with cookies disabled and with analytics blocked; nothing essential will break. To ask what information we hold about you, or to request deletion of correspondence, write to [[email protected]].

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the revised version will be published on this page with a new date at the top. Material changes will be summarised at the top of the page for at least thirty days.
