About this app
(Skyro Loan) App Malaysia SIM is an independent, unofficial Android app: a loan simulation, calculator and plain-language guide to the cost of a Skyro Credit personal loan. It works entirely on figures you type in yourself.
What the app does
The developer describes it in one line, and the app is that line: a simulation, a calculator, and a guide. You supply the amount, the rate and the tenure; the app does the arithmetic and explains the vocabulary a loan agreement uses. Nothing is submitted anywhere.
Who Skyro is in Malaysia
Skyro entered Malaysia as its second Southeast Asian market after the Philippines, with approval from the Ministry of Housing and Local Government to conduct online moneylending. Its Malaysian site at skyro.io states that Skyro is the trading name of AT Series Capital Sdn. Bhd., company number 199101002117, operating under Moneylender licence WL8038/14/01-3/260728 valid from 27 July 2026 to 26 July 2028, with advertisement permit WP8038/14/01-1/260728, from an address in Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur.
The product is called Skyro Credit, a personal loan from a licensed moneylender. The site illustrates a rate of 1.5 per cent a month and states a ceiling of 18 per cent a year for unsecured lending. Those are that company own published statements, quoted here for reference rather than endorsed. Verify the licence yourself against the register before borrowing, through kpkt.gov.my or the i-KrediKom application, and check that the registered company name matches the name on your loan agreement.
The ceiling that applies
Under the Moneylenders Act 1951, a licensed moneylender in Malaysia may not charge more than 12 per cent a year on a secured loan or 18 per cent a year on an unsecured one, which is 1 per cent and 1.5 per cent a month. Interest collected may also not exceed the principal sum lent. The text of the Act is published at lom.agc.gov.my.
A newer layer of regulation
Consumer credit in Malaysia is also being brought under the Consumer Credit Act 2025, which came into force on 1 March 2026 and established the Consumer Credit Commission at skp.gov.my. Licensing and registration under the Act opened on 1 June 2026, with a transition period running to 31 December 2026. Licensed moneylenders are within the scope of the new framework, so the supervision picture is changing.
What it does not do
This app is an independent educational app. It is not an official representative of Skyro and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or related to Skyro, nor to any government body or regulator. It does not offer loans and cannot be used to apply for one. It does not process applications, does not disburse funds, does not check application status and does not access any account. There is no account, no login and no personal data.
Never type an identity card number, a bank account number, a password or a one-time PIN into any third-party app or website. All figures the app produces are estimates for planning only, and the binding terms are the ones in the lender own offer document.
