About this app
PINJAMGO: App Loan SIM is an independent, unofficial Android app: a loan simulation, calculator and plain-language guide to the cost of a PinjamGo personal loan. It works entirely on figures you type in yourself.
What the app does
The developer describes it in one line, and the app is that line: a simulation, a calculator, and a guide. You supply the amount, the rate and the tenure; the app does the arithmetic and explains the vocabulary that a loan agreement uses. Nothing is submitted anywhere.
What the arithmetic actually shows
The number that matters in a personal loan is not the monthly instalment on its own. It is the total you will repay measured against the cash that actually reaches your account. Upfront charges such as stamp duty on the loan instrument and any processing or documentation fee are normally deducted before payout, so they quietly raise the real price of the loan without changing the advertised rate.
A second figure worth separating is the rate basis. A flat rate is charged on the original amount for the whole tenure, while a reducing balance rate is charged only on what you still owe. The same number written as a flat rate is close to double the same number written as an effective rate. The guide inside the app explains both, and this site has a worked comparison.
What it does not do
It is an independent educational app. It is not an official representative of the brand it is named after, and not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to it, nor to any government body or regulator. It does not offer loans and cannot be used to apply for one. It does not process applications, does not disburse funds, does not check application status and does not access any account. There is no account, no login and no personal data.
Never type an identity card number, a bank account number, a password or a one-time PIN into any third-party app or website. All figures the app produces are estimates for planning only, and the actual terms must be confirmed with the lender directly.
Before you borrow from anyone
Two checks cost nothing and are worth doing before any personal loan in Malaysia. First, confirm who you are dealing with: moneylenders are licensed under the Moneylenders Act 1951 and supervised by the Ministry of Housing and Local Government at kpkt.gov.my, while banks and development financial institutions are regulated by Bank Negara Malaysia at bnm.gov.my. Second, check the Financial Consumer Alert List. Note what that list means: a name appearing on it is a warning, but a name not appearing on it does not confirm that the entity is licensed.
